YMCAs have long been a place where families come together. Our family and parent/child programs promote intergenerational bonds and community socialization. Relax in the pool with your neighbors on a family float night or explore creative movements with your toddler.  

LEWIS & CLARK ADVENTURE FAMILY PROGRAM
In Partnership with Westview on the James
 Registration Form-Lewis & Clark Family Program  

The Lewis & Clark Adventure Family Program is a yearlong, four-session, family program for parent(s) and children ages 8–12 years old. The program is designed to foster family unity, outdoor camping, hiking, and canoeing skills, and provide leadership and Christian principles to our youth and their families in a fun outdoor environment.
Sessions include first aid and CPR training, team building, wilderness family survival activities, hiking, and canoeing–all while learning leadership lessons based upon our country’s great historical heroes. Some training will take place at the Goochland Family YMCA, and camping and canoeing weekends will be held at Westview on the James as well as some great off site locations.
As our campers get older, they are encouraged to participate in the L&C Corps of Discovery, designed for teens ages 13–18. The L&C Adventure Family Program is committed to helping create great family memories while fostering tomorrow’s leaders!

PARENTSNIGHT OUT
Parents are given the opportunity to drop their children at the Goochland Family YMCA for up to 4 hours.  Goochland staff will provide an evening of dinner, swimming, crafts, and fun!  $20 for the first child, $5 for siblings.  Open to children 6 months - 12 years.  For facility members only.  All parents night out programs run from 5:30-9:30pm.

"A FLAVOR OF DANCE" BEGINNERS TAP & BALLET
Experience 6 weeks of lyrical, tap and ballet in a fun-filled atmosphere.  Great music and learning turns, leaps, and great combos. 
Ages 3 - 12 years.  Program will conclude with a recital.
